Report Details

This service includes the newsletter The Month in Brief, but is also intended to be a long-term reference source. It identifies all relevant documents and sources (with particular emphasis on free-of-charge Internet sources), and offers detailed analytical comments.

In detail it includes:

• A rapid alert service, through a constantly updated Internet page, listing breaking news items due to be analysed in the next report(s) in the service.
  
• The Month in Brief - a four-page summary of current developments, high-lighting and briefly explaining the most important. Issued six to ten times per year.
  
• The News Report with detailed analysis of each development, and full listings of relevant sources. To facilitate followup action by our clients, particular attention is given to the growing number of free-of-charge, but often hard to identify, Internet sources of official EU texts.
  
• A Full Text Service which enables clients to contact us for direct supply of any other public texts which are available electronically but not on Internet.
  
• Access to a Help-line for individual enquiries. This can cover, for examples, questions on whether an EU-level regulation of specifications, testing, certification or product approval exists or is being drafted in any specific product area; questions on the content of an EU product harmonisation regulation, and its general interpretation; guidance on sources - where to get other relevant texts not featured in our reports. The Help-line does not cover product-specific compliance advice.

Typical clients are significant organisations, inside and outside Europe, with wide, multi-sectoral interests, in manufacturing, testing, certification, standards development, or government activities such as export promotion or technical regulation. They use the service both as a source of current news (for example, through wide internal circulation of The Month in Brief) and regular research (for example, by retaining the detailed, indexed reports in a central location).

Price

€4500 per year for up to 100 registered users in a single organisational unit. Access may be by individual password, or through the client's own Internet site, subject to contractual agreement. Prices for larger numbers of users in a single organisation available on request. Other rights for printing, copying, or wider distribution are available by negotiation.
