Company & Clients

Single Market Ventures is a private company, founded in 1988, with its headquarters and commercial operations in Brussels, where we are legally registered. The company is totally independent of any manufacturing, distribution, testing, certification, government or other service organisation.

The clients of Single Market Ventures are global. They come from around 30 countries in Europe and outside, and fall into three main groups: manufacturers/distributors, bodies specialising in standards and/or testing, and governments. Their common feature is a need to master Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) caused by standards and testing requirements. Since our work includes an element of client-specific advice and help, our client list is confidential, but includes a mixture, ranging from some of the best-known organisations in the world - government and private - down to small businesses. Our output has appeared, with or without acknowledgment to us, on a number of respected web-sites. A very high proportion of our clients comes to us after they have seen and studied sample material from us or received recommendations from our existing clients.

Unlike many organisations in Brussels dealing with EU affairs, Single Market Ventures receives no funding or subsidy from any government source in the European Union or elsewhere, and we do not bid for official EU contracts of any kind, although we do accept orders for our services from any source, government or private, on an absolutely equal basis. That stance protects our independence in the analysis and advice we offer.
